ANOTHER COMPANY MAKES SAVING IN ENERGY & CO2!

One of Bath’s main shopping centres, The Podium, have been working closely with Lighting Services to start making in-roads into reducing their energy costs and carbon footprint with the use of sustainable, more energy efficient, lighting.

The Podium Shopping Centre is one of Bath's most recent developments. The centre has restaurants and a library on the first floor and a good range of specialist shops on the ground floor.
The Podium also have their own car park and it is in the car park where we have started to make changes to the lighting. By replacing outdated halophosphate technology with Philips professional, triphospher, Xtreme long life range they will make savings of over £8.00 per year in energy and maintenance for every lamp changed. (This saving also includes the cost of the tube).
By also changing their low voltage reflectors over to the new Philips E-Saver 2 Pin reflectors they can make an even more impressive savings per lamp of nearly £20 per year per.
